Quality Inspector

Basic Qualifications:

• Exceptional understanding of quality requirements and documentation process.
• Ability in using tools (Micrometers, installation tools, torque wrenches, power tools and test equipment)
• Ability to interact as a Quality Control Representative with production personnel including operators, leads, supervisors, and managers.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Capable of using photography equipment to capture and document engine quality.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Department:

· Partnering with the Quality team, Engineering, and the area supervisors to adhere to quality routines.

· Follow quality checklist and communicate changes in quality as needed when issues may arise to ensure first time quality.

· Report workplace safety concerns to Safety Committee

· Notify appropriate Supervisors if major non-compliance of specifications, standards, or quality is found during the inspection process.

· Participate and support continuous improvement objectives based on conclusive defects and the Warranty team’s feedback.

Personal Leadership Expectations:

· Attend and participate in appropriate meetings and training as required.

Other duties as assigned.

7. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and able to meet physical and safety requirements
• Able to stand on cement floors for 8 plus hours
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and lift appropriately

8. ENVIRONMENT / EQUIPMENT & MACHINERY

This position is in a manufacturing environment. Regular exposure to noise, oil, paint, lubricants, sealants, cleaning chemicals

Equipment and Machinery used within this department is as follows but not limited to the following:

· Hoists

· Conveyors

· Hand Tools

· Torque Tools

· Sim Tester

· High Pressure Wash

· Diagnostic Tester

· Pneumatic Paint Booth

· Pressurized Air
