2nd Shift Quality Inspector

Location- Gastonia/Clover

Pay-$17-$20 depending on experience

Weekly PayWe are interviewing for a full time, second shift quality inspector.

Job Description

• This person would Inspect parts to blueprints using micrometers and calipers, height stands and other measuring equipment.
• They would create, print and record inspection documents.
• They will check parts both in the QC lab and out on the production floor.
• They will ensure that operators have what is needed to measure and record their in process inspection results, and report to their supervisor if this is not being performed.
• They will ensure that parts that are suspect of nonconformance are identified and segregated to prevent accidental use.
• They will ensure that conforming product is identified and approved for movement to subsequent processes, outside processes or to the customer.
• They would train operators on how to check their parts while in process to ensure they have the tools and knowledge needed to ensure product conformity.
• Once trained, they will be expected to work without direct oversight. This is critical to long term success.

Experience and skills

• They must have strong experience with Micrometers and Calipers.
• They must be able to read and understand blueprints and measure a part to determine it conforms to the blueprint.
• They must be comfortable browsing folders and locating needed files for use on a windows based network.
• They must be able to use basic Microsoft office products, like opening spreadsheets and typing in them, printing them, etc.
• ZEISS CMM experience a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
