Quality Inspector- 2nd Shift

Position Summary
As a quality inspector at Isringhausen, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that products meet high standards and regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections with precision measuring tools, implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, and collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams. You will document findings to create a narrative of quality assurance and analyze defect rates to drive continuous improvement. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication will be essential in nurturing the production process and ensuring the delivery of flawless products. Provide accurate and prompt inspection of seats. The Inspector will follow Error Catalog and Seat Path inspection to ensure conforming product is delivered to customer.
Position Description/Responsibility:
  • Develop and conduct a variety of tests/inspections on inbound materials from vendors, in process material and outbound finished products prior to shipping.
  • Ensure that all the quality check procedures and work instructions put in place by the company are followed during every production phase.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the correct actions that were taken.
  • Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers/supervisors/lead to improve overall company safety and product quality.
  • Create inspection checklists and provide quality inspection results with departmental engineer/manager’s.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Qualifications/Expectations

  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good eye for detail and basic understanding of manufacturing.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, engineers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectation
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic work instructions and inspection checklists.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Works closely with the Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor and Production personnel.
Education and Experience:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in Automotive Manufacturing – 2 Years
  • Prior experience working in Warranty Department – Preferred
Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Basic math skills
  • Displays the willingness to make decisions and exhibits sound and accurate judgement
  • Must exhibit a "Team-Player" Attitude
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to lift 50-75lbs occasionally
