Manager ensures high patient care standards by implementing quality systems (like NABH/ISO), developing policies, training staff, conducting audits, managing documentation, analyzing KPIs, and driving continuous improvement to meet compliance and patient safety goals, focusing on reducing waste and enhancing efficiency across clinical and non-clinical departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Policy & Documentation: Create hospital quality manuals, SOPs, and maintain quality records.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to NABH, ISO 9001, and other regulatory standards (like Blood Bank/BMW licenses).
- Audits & Monitoring: Conduct internal audits, take hospital rounds, monitor departmental performance, and identify gaps.
- Improvement Initiatives: Develop action plans for corrective/preventive actions, implement quality tools, and drive service improvement.
- Training: Train staff on quality processes, patient safety, and new standards.
- Data & Reporting: Collect, analyze KPIs, and report on quality metrics and patient outcomes.
- Meetings: Facilitate quality and infection control committee meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
- Patient Focus: Address patient feedback, grievances, and ensure patient safety protocols are followed.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of NABH standards and healthcare quality concepts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in quality management systems and tools (like TQM).
- Problem-solving and leadership abilities.
