Quality Manager, Food Manufacturing

The QA Manager, Food Manufacturing will lead all quality and food safety operations, overseeing a small but capable QA team.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys driving standards on the production floor as much as managing documentation and audits.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop QA team (3–4 direct reports).
• Oversee food safety programs including SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and allergen controls.
• Manage internal and third-party audits and ensure full compliance with FDA and customer requirements.
• Partner with R&D to validate new product launches and packaging changes.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, shelf-life testing, and corrective actions.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of product labeling, traceability, and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production and operations to resolve quality issues in real time.
• Continuously improve QA processes and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Food Science, Microbiology, or related field).
• 5–10 years of QA or FSQA experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience with dry foods, sweeteners, or natural food products preferred.
• Knowledge of SQF, BRC, or other GFSI certification programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, floor-based management style.
• Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop QA staff.
• Comfortable with audits, regulatory reporting, and customer interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
