Quality Manager- Wind Project

Title: Quality Manager

Reports to: Project Quality Head Location: NEOM

About THE ROLE-

The Quality manageris responsible for managing the quality assurance and quality control activities of the project, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required quality standards. This role requires collaboration with the project management team to integrate quality management practices into all phases of the project lifecycle, from design to completion. The quality manager will ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and client specifications, and will implement corrective actions as needed to maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and review: • Develop Project specific Quality manual, QA Plans and Procedures, WPS, WPQ, WPQR, WPR, Mix design review & approval, inspection and test plan, inspection schedules, field quality plans, and SAT Procedures according to the international standards, customer specifications and the local Statutory & Regulatory requirements. • Prepare/review Method statements and get required approvals from PD/CE. • Review supplier manufacturing quality plan, co-ordinate for inspection at supplier end, review and approve supplier inspection / third party inspection report and submit to client for approval. • Provide process/product related inputs /periodical reports to client as and when required. • Plan Quality orientation/training programs for workmen, staff, sub-contractor. • Identify testing laboratory and obtain approval. • Organize weekly / monthly project Quality review meetings with project team

Implementation: • Ensure the availability of latest specifications and relevant standards/codes of practice. • Set up and monitor QA/QC procedures at project site, in line with appropriate guidelines, law of the land, company policy and client requirements. • Coordinate with site team, subcontractors and appropriate stakeholders to implement and monitor project specific PQP/QMS plan at site.

Materials:

• Identify, calibrate, review and maintain list of testing and measuring equipment. • Inspect & test incoming materials, activities / workmanship as per ITP and obtain approval from customer representative as required and maintain records with identification & traceability. • Coordinate with approved lab for conducting various tests of material/ activity. Obtain test reports and review the results as per project requirements. • Ensure proper interaction and co-ordination with Client, Site Laboratory and Site Team for project co-ordination.

Induction & Training: • Implement orientation/training programs relating to Quality for new joiners as well as existing workmen, staff, sub-contractor as and when required. • Explain method statement clearly to relevant team members while starting any new process.

Audits: • Arrange periodic Quality audits (performance, compliance and conformity) and workplace inspections by internal and external auditors, that are in line with agreed standards and codes and address non-conformities immediately. • Review and prepare correction and corrective action pertaining to client NCR. • Raise NCR for any deviations and coordinate with respective dept. for root cause analysis and corrective action

Quality Initiatives: • Organize quality promotion campaigns, competitions and other programs for staff & workmen. • Reward and recognize staff following good quality practices, regularly (eg: monthly)

Reports and Meetings: • Prepare and get approval for QMS plan. • Attend weekly review meeting organized by PM along with other Project management team members and necessary site team members. • Accompany PD to attend review meetings organized by Employer/CE related to Quality issues • Prepare and submit periodic review report for all Quality Assurance and Quality Control issues to PD.

• Provide periodic audit and NCR reports to client/CE. If required, Site representative of Employer/CE can have direct communication with QAM for any non conformity issues related to Quality.

Qualifications: • Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering. • Certifications for relevant associations/institutes/accreditation bodies in Quality Management and assurance. • 15+ years relevant experience out of which 5 + years should be in the similar capacity. • 5+ years of experience in EPC - Solar/ Wind site in a leadership position (QA/QC) with a EPC company.

Needs proficiency in Arabic Language
