Quality Officer

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Position: Quality & Safety Officer - For Saudi only

Position Summary:
The Quality & Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality, health, and safety procedures across warehouse and operational sites. This role ensures strict compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through proactive inspections, training, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Monitor incoming/outgoing materials and products for quality standard compliance.
  • Identify non-conformities and support root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain quality documentation and support internal and external audits.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Conduct daily safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
  • Lead incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition investigations and reporting.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensure all storage, handling, and loading activities meet safety and quality standards.
  • Verify items for accuracy, damage, and expiration; document findings.
  • Uphold housekeeping and 5S standards to maintain an organized and safe environment.
  • Ensure calibration and accuracy of temperature monitoring devices.

Training & Development:

  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions for staff.
  • Promote a culture of safety and keep personnel informed on procedural updates.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, audits, and training activities.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for management.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality, Safety, Engineering).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar QHSE role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience with audits, inspections, and root cause analysis.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 9001/45001) are a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong observational, communication, and reporting abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with QHSE systems is preferred.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Possesses a strong safety-conscious mindset.

Additional Requirement:

  • Must be willing and able to travel between the company's branches in Jeddah and Rabigh as required by operational needs.
