Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Program Manager to lead and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a quality assurance program compliant with NQA-1 standards within the nuclear industry. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with experience in program development, process improvement methodologies, and quality management systems. Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of a quality assurance program in accordance with ASME NQA-1 standards
- Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, policies, and work instructions
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and industry requirements
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and corrective action follow-up
- Perform gap analyses and drive closure of identified deficiencies relative to NQA-1 requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality integration
- Manage document control systems and configuration management processes
- Oversee supplier quality activities, including qualification and audits
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 3–8+ years of experience in a quality engineering or management role
- Direct experience implementing or maintaining an NQA-1 compliant quality program
- Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing, and regulatory compliance
- Experience with document control, records management, and configuration control
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CQA)
- Lead Auditor certification
- Experience working with suppliers under NQA-1 requirements
- Knowledge of related standards (ISO 9001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, etc.)
Pay: $65,878.05 - $95,000.00 per year
