Quality Supervisor – KoMiCo Phoenix

Job Summary

KoMiCo Phoenix is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Supervisor to oversee daily quality assurance operations, final product inspections, and compliance with all Product Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role is responsible for ensuring product Turn-Around-Time (TAT) goals are achieved, minimizing internal defects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

The Quality Supervisor will manage QA document control to maintain ISO compliance, oversee equipment checklist completion, and generate end-of-day reports. This position also requires hands-on involvement in visual inspections and corrective action investigations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and leadership skills, a solid understanding of QA principles, and the ability to effectively train and mentor Cleanroom Technicians at all levels. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with internal teams, customers, and vendors.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $58,000 – $67,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Product Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Plan and execute daily and hourly tasks to meet TAT goals
  • Oversee final inspection processes to ensure product quality
  • Maintain and verify completion of daily equipment checklists
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and quality issues
  • Manage QA document control in compliance with ISO standards
  • Support and sustain 5S practices within the department
  • Prepare and deliver end-of-day reports and shift pass-downs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Essential Duties

  • Conduct visual inspections, including:
  • Cosmetic quality verification
  • Incoming and outgoing quantity checks
  • Part and serial number validation
  • Rejection reporting as needed
  • Train and mentor Cleanroom Technicians (Levels I, II, and Senior)
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures
  • Reduce internal rework and delays
  • Coordinate and prioritize workflow to meet production demands
  • Lead corrective action investigations and reporting
  • Monitor and report employee time and attendance concerns

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across departments, customers, and vendors
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of QA principles, inspection techniques, and testing procedures
  • Ability to identify materials and coatings including:
  • Ceramic
  • Stainless Steel (SS)
  • Titanium Silicon (TiSi)
  • Quartz
  • Various substrates and coatings

Physical Requirements

  • Full use of voice, vision, hearing, and mobility
  • Ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces
  • Comfortable working in multiple environments (cleanroom, office, outdoors)
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to bend, squat, sit, and stand for extended periods
  • Capable of performing repetitive motions (typing, writing, etc.)
  • Strict adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) procedures
  • Understanding of the impact of non-compliance with operational and safety standards
