In this role, you will lead the hourly (union) Quality Inspection/Calibration Team for a $60mm/year, 350,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility. Heading up a team of hourly employees, you will develop and implement processes/procedures for the Quality Team that will drive improvement in Quality that will have a direct impact on EHS, On Time Delivery, and Productivity. This role will also accelerate and support cultural change efforts that will develop/improve team performance.
Essential Responsibilities:

Become the Customer Report Specialist at our facility. Learn how to produce and publish all customer reports.

Motivate your team to achieve goals.

Learn and employ Lean Manufacturing concepts in areas of responsibility.

Partner with Sourcing and Planning in material reviews that anticipate and resolve material shortages.

Technical support & inspection troubleshooting and coordination of component releases to production floor.

Drive and influence change and build a high performing team

Ability to learn and master software tools

Administer and approve time and attendance for all employees in assigned work area

Assist workers with questions they may have regarding inspection or interpretation of drawings.

Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist team members in resolving work problems

Read and understand inspection requirements and Inspection Instructions.

Practice safe work habits to ensure an injury free environment

Work with Training Coordinator to ensure, identify, and sustain all training records to be correct and properly maintained

Lead and instruct on best inspection/calibration practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Ability and willingness to ensure supervision of the facility (weekends and holidays, as required)
