Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose: Perform precision inspection of production products.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Effectively use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other mechanical inspection equipment.
- Provide metrology support and assistance to Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Perform set up approval inspections and document as required.
- Perform capability study data collection.
- Perform Gage R&R data collection.
- Perform basic CMM inspections.
- Perform basic gage set up and repair.
- Perform and complete documentation for final audits.
- Coordinate containment of Nonconforming product and reporting.
- Generate Certification of Compliance.
- Certify shipments based on customer returns in conjunction with production.
- Create and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
- Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communicate with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
- Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
- Perform other various duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience to accurately operate standard measurement equipment
- Ability to read and follow instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Using computer software - Microsoft Office, Outlook, and infopath-type software
Training:
Physical Demands
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, rarely lifting up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand up to 100% of shift
- Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking)
