Position Summary

Are you a problem solver who enjoys digging into issues and finding the path to resolution? MK Fluidic Systems is looking for a Quality Technician to join our fast-moving Quality team.

In this role, you’ll perform hands-on inspection work, support our ISO 13485 quality management system, and collaborate with production teams to keep our manufacturing processes running at a high standard. You’ll use precision measuring instruments daily, learn standardized quality methods used worldwide, and work closely with engineers and production staff to identify and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections of products and purchased parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, optical comparators).
  • Conduct visual inspections to verify products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Collect, record, and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate, organized records.
  • Perform in-house calibration of measuring tools and maintain calibration records.
  • Initiate NCR (Nonconformance Report) investigations and support follow-up with customers and vendors.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding quality performance, corrective action requests, and notifications.
  • Participate in maintaining the quality management system (ISO 13485) and support internal and external audits.
  • Evaluate the need for corrective and preventive actions and assist with their implementation.
  • Monitor and record personnel training activities.
  • Work with production personnel to analyze and verify the capability of production processes and vendor-supplied parts and services.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the quality and manufacturing teams.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret measurements.
  • Comfortable with basic math, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Motivated, reliable, and willing to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, plug gauges, thread gauges, ring gauges, air gauges, optical comparators).
  • Experience with Keyence inspection systems.
  • Familiarity with NCRs, bills of materials, blueprints/specs, and inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles, ISO standards, or the scientific method as applied to manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role involves frequent sitting and walking with occasional standing, reaching, and lifting. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. Personal protective equipment may be required in certain areas of the facility.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $17.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Location

This is an on-site position located in Las Vegas, NV 89144. Candidates must be able to commute to or relocate to the Las Vegas area prior to start date.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
