Quality Technician

American Howa Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a full-time Quality Technician.

Qualifications:

• Ability to aid in the development of corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality concerns.
• General knowledge of the automotive quality standards (ISO 9001 standard).
• Knowledge of performing quality inspections on products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• General problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to train team members on quality requirements.
• Basic computer skills in Work and Excel.
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Support AHK and customer quality systems initiatives
• Assist Quality Engineers with customer and supplier quality concerns as needed.
• Understand the overall quality specifications and standards.
• Follow process control and inspection procedures.
• Encourage to make recommendations for system improvements.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.

Physical:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
• Specific vision abilities are required include viewing raw materials and parts of color matching and depth perception.
