Quality Technician

Title: Quality Technician
Location: Manitowoc, WI

Salary: Starting Wage $20.00 per hour and up based on experience
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:00am

Focus: Quality Technician's assist the entire production team as the customer's voice in implementing, maintaining, and improving the quality system. This position participates in and applies problem-solving techniques and lean manufacturing principles to ensure quality products.

Quality Technician Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality systems necessary to support ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and scales to measure specified variables for each of the assigned manufacturing processes; Perform detail visual inspections of product.
  • Reads and interprets part prints and understands the correlation between the print and critical dimensions upon which statistical process control charts are based.
  • Record production, material, and quality information on designated operation systems and in accordance with operation procedures. Includes an understanding of the purpose and necessity for accurate record keeping.
  • Creates and maintains quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.

Quality Technician Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated job stability.
  • Previous experience performing quality functions in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of role to include, but not limited to, repetitive hand movements, bending, continuous standing/walking, and occasionally picking up material weighing up to 50 pounds.


Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
  • Must be able to attend orientation and training on 1st shift (7:30a-3:30p) before transitioning to primary assignment. Training could take up to six (6) weeks to complete.
