We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician to join our growing manufacturing and fabrication team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our products meet customer specifications and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment and possess knowledge of quality inspection practices. Experience with welding inspection and paint quality evaluation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated and manufactured products.
• Verify dimensions and specifications using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
• Inspect welded assemblies for workmanship and compliance with quality requirements.
• Inspect painted products for coating quality, finish, coverage, and appearance.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and products.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
• Work closely with production personnel to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in quality audits and support compliance with company quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, machining, and assembly operations.
• Welding knowledge or weld inspection experience is a plus.
• Paint inspection experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Current or previous CWI certification a plus

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of welding symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards.
• Experience in a metal fabrication, welding, or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of corrective action and continuous improvement processes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to welding, grinding, painting, and fabrication operations.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
