The Quality Technician, under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of quality control techniques, processes, and procedures to ensure the consistent production of safe, high-quality beverage products. This role requires strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with all internal and external food safety standards.
Practice, teach and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for Quality
Practice and enforce all Safety policies and procedures
Review production records for compliance with quality standards
Put together COA’s together following customer requirements
Read APC and rapid yeast and mold plates, update Micro Spreadsheet, and report out of spec results to Quality Manager
Assist Techs with micro-plating and product testing when needed
Manage customer sample requests (collection, shipping, and updating tracker)
Manage lab supplies and inventory (complete weekly inventory and create/submit purchase order request)
Take environmental monitoring swabs, ship to 3rd party lab, and update EMP tracker
Assist in internal and external audits and documentation
Assist in customer complaint investigations and documentation
Coordinate rework projects with the production team and ensure necessary documentation is completed
Assist with non-compliant quality and food safety investigations and ensure necessary documentation is completed
Monitor Calibration Log for compliance and help schedule services
Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures
Support team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with policies, and minimizing physical hazards to promote an overall safe work environment
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of work experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to ensure understanding of written procedures, safety instructions, technical documentation, and verbal communications
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of weights and measures. Must be comfortable using a calculator
Familiarity with basic computer systems and control interfaces
Basic understanding of food production and food safety principles is a plus
