Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician I or II to join our team. The position has the potential of becoming FT. This role supports and reports to the Quality Manager. Our facility is ISO 9001 and AS 9100 certified. We manufacture plastic seals and bearings for many different industries. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your quality knowledge and skills.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
· Assist the receiving department with in-coming inspection and verification of required documentation
· Help resolve any non-conforming material or components i.e. vendor, internal or customer reported
· Perform routine visual, dimensional and functional inspections on raw materials, in-coming components, in-process components, and finished products
· Record data accurately and maintain organized documentation in accordance with the quality management system, also to include review of final documentation for record retention
· Maintain the Calibration system, including the maintenance of calibrated equipment
· Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality -related issues
· Act as a team member of the CAPA and continuous improvement projects
· Work on quality department assignments with clearly defined objectives
· Cross functional training as required
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Detail oriented
· Ability to learn and apply compliance requirements
· Ability to interpret drawings, tolerances and physical attributes.
· Experience with measurement tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Clear oral and written communication (including ability to adapt your communication style to facilitate understanding by your audience)
· Work effectively with teams from all departments
· Ability to follow procedures and standards
· Self-motivated
· Ability to lift to 25lbs.
Preferred
· Experience with AS9100 and ISO certified Quality Management Systems (1-3 years)
· Vendor and customer communication
· Experience in plastics machining and manufacturing.
· Experience with a visual system
· College level math, statistics based.
· Experience in risk mitigation, risk-based thinking

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
