Quantity Surveyor

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control of projects from initiation to completion. The role involves ensuring value for money while maintaining the required quality and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents.
  • Evaluate and analyze contractors’ quotations and bids.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare periodic cost reports and forecasts.
  • Review and certify contractors’ interim and final payment applications.
  • Assess variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Participate in tender evaluations and negotiation processes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to control project budgets.
  • Prepare project cash flow and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all contract documentation and correspondence.
  • Support the preparation and review of contractual terms and project close-out documentation.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and contract management within construction or infrastructure projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Primavera).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
