We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong Cost Control experience in building construction projects to join our growing team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, monitoring budgets, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in residential and commercial building construction projects within the UAE and possess strong knowledge of quantity surveying practices, cost management, contract administration, and project financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents for accurate costing.
• Assist in tender preparation, subcontractor comparison, and bid evaluation.

Cost Control & Budget Management

• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Prepare cost reports, budget forecasts, and monthly financial statements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Monitor material consumption, labor productivity, and project cash flow.

Contract Administration

• Manage variations, claims, change orders, and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and project specifications.
• Support final account preparation and project close-out documentation.

Site Coordination & Measurement

• Conduct site visits for measurements, work progress verification, and valuation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and accounts teams.
• Verify subcontractor work progress and payment applications.

Procurement Support

• Assist in material procurement by comparing supplier quotations and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain proper records of project costs, contracts, and variations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost control reports for management review.
• Ensure proper documentation for audit and project tracking purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in building construction projects.
• Experience in both Quantity Surveying and Cost Control functions is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, FIDIC conditions, and UAE construction practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar QS software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in residential and commercial building projects.
• Knowledge of procurement and project budgeting processes.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
