Job Description – Quantity Surveyor

Project: Government School Building Projects (Ongoing)

Location: Madhya Pradesh

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support ongoing government school building works in Madhya Pradesh. The QS will be responsible for measurement, cost control, billing, and documentation to ensure that the projects progress smoothly, remain within budget, and comply with government standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify quantities, BOQs, and cost estimates for civil, structural, and finishing works.
• Check and certify RA bills and final bills in line with actual work executed.
• Carry out joint measurements with site engineers and maintain measurement books.
• Prepare material reconciliation statements (cement, steel, aggregates, etc.).
• Track project costs vs. approved budget and highlight deviations.
• Maintain proper records, abstracts, and documentation for audit and inspection purposes.
• Support the Project Manager with progress reporting and site coordination.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 3–8 years’ experience in building construction projects, preferably government works.
• Knowledge of PWD/CPWD SOR, IS codes, and government specifications.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and measurement documentation.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of local construction practices, codes, and government regulations.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to be based at project sites across Madhya Pradesh.
• Familiarity with billing, cost control, and documentation for government building projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
