Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor (QS Engineer) is responsible for managing all costs related to
construction projects, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, accurate quantity take-offs, cost control, billing, and coordination with site and procurement teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare Bill of Quantities, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates as per drawings and
specifications
● Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations throughout the project lifecycle
● Verify and process contractor bills, subcontractor bills, and client running bills
● Prepare rate analysis for new and extra items
● Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and accounts teams for material
reconciliation and cost tracking
● Maintain records of measurements, drawings, and approvals
● Assist in tendering, negotiations, and finalization of contracts
● Track material consumption vs bill of quantities and highlight deviations
● Prepare monthly cost reports and MIS for management review
● Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and company standards
Qualifications & Skills
● Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering
● Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer in construction projects
● Strong knowledge of BOQs, billing, contracts, and estimation
● Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD
● Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
● Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
● Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Preferred Experience
● Experience in Residential / Commercial / Interior / Infrastructure projects (as applicable)
● Exposure to budgeting, and cost control at site level
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
