Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient evaluations to create individualized radiation treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, surgeons, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Administer radiation therapy while closely monitoring patient responses and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Provide thorough education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records of patient treatments and outcomes.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance practices in radiation oncology.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in the field and integrate best practices into routine care.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology is mandatory
- Valid medical license to practice in the respective state
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interactions
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in oncology
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
