Radiation Oncologist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient evaluations to create individualized radiation treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, surgeons, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer radiation therapy while closely monitoring patient responses and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Provide thorough education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and compliant records of patient treatments and outcomes.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance practices in radiation oncology.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in the field and integrate best practices into routine care.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from a recognized institution
• Board certification in Radiation Oncology is mandatory
• Valid medical license to practice in the respective state
• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology
• Strong understanding of radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interactions
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in oncology
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
