We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join our esteemed medical team. As a Radiation Oncologist, you will be responsible for planning and delivering precise radiation therapy to cancer patients, aiming to maximize treatment effectiveness while minimizing side effects. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on diagnosis and clinical findings.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
- Administer radiation therapies and monitor patient response to treatment, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment procedures, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Stay current with advances in radiation oncology and participate in research or clinical trials when applicable.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology.
- Valid medical license allowing practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in radiation oncology preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and medical teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of medical advances.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
