<ul> <li>Setting: Cardiac surgery step down unit</li> <li>Scope: caring for CTS patients on step the down unit, no ICU level care, no OR</li> <li>Dates: Dec 1- May 31</li> <li>Shift Hours: 7a-4p Tues-Sun </li> <li>Procedures: chest tube and pacer wire removal (weekends only, with supervision of attending)</li> <li>Patient Load: 8-12 Tues-Fri, weekend coverage is rounding on non-ICU patients</li> <li>EMR: Epic</li> <li>Requirements: Active VA license, DEA with VA address, NCCPA, ACLS, BLS</li></ul>

Serving a key role on the cardiac surgery step-down unit, you'll provide comprehensive care for cardiothoracic patients recovering from surgery. Enjoy weekday and weekend shifts focused on patient management (no ICU or OR duties), performing procedures like chest tube and pacer wire removal under attending supervision, all within a collaborative team environment.
