Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Radiology Supervisor to oversee diagnostic imaging services within a fast-paced medical facility. Experience in Urgent Care and/or Emergency Medicine is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities, including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, and Mammography. The Radiology Supervisor will serve as the Radiation Safety Officer and ensure all documentation, coding, and radiation safety meet all federal and state requirements. The supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and quality imaging by each member of the radiology team. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional patient care through advanced imaging technology.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services.
  • Oversee the performance of various diagnostic procedures, including X-ray, Ultrasound, DEXA, CT, and Mammography.
  • Ensure all imaging procedures adhere to established safety protocols, including aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship to radiologic technologists on advanced imaging techniques and new equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards related to medical imaging.
  • Monitor quality control measures and perform regular audits to uphold diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret complex diagnostic images and facilitate diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Manage departmental resources, including scheduling staff shifts and maintaining equipment functionality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in diagnostic radiology with expertise in X-ray, Ultrasound, DEXA, CT, and Mammography.
  • Strong background in emergency medicine or urgent care settings; Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques relevant to radiology practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervisory or managerial experience in a radiology department.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and quality assurance protocols in medical imaging.
  • Certification or licensure in radiologic technology (ARRT or equivalent) is required; additional certifications in mammography or nuclear medicine are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This role is integral to delivering precise diagnostic imaging services that directly impact patient outcomes while fostering a safe and efficient work environment for staff members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
