Range Safety Officer - Part Time

Requirements: Previous Military, Firearms, or Range Experience Range Safety Officer - Nardis Gun Club – San Antonio, TX

We are looking to add a Part Time Range Safety Officer to work Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. This position will cross train in retail store and need to have flexibility to work other days during the week when needed.

DEFINITION: Under direction of the Range Master, provide supervision and oversight of shooting operations at Nardis Gun Club.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Supervise shooting activities as prescribed by the Range Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's). Assist in the prevention of problems on the range through diligence in performing the following duties: Educate users on the Range Safety Rules; provide direct range supervision; enforce all Range Safety Rules; and enforce policies and procedures established by Nardis Gun Club. Evaluate the condition of the Range Lobby and Range upon arrival, and prior to departure for the day. Offer and sell Club Memberships, training, and other services. Perform all duties related to checking in Club Members and Guest at the Range counter including the handling of monetary transactions. Clean the Range Lobby and facility in its entirety at the end of each day.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed under sometimes fast paced conditions. Work requires time management and the ability to manage several tasks at the same time. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively, to listen, make effective decisions, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
