Raw Material Coordinator

Summary

This role is responsible for coordinating the timely, efficient, and cost-effective supply of raw materials required to support factory operations. The Raw Material Coordinator works closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and growers to maintain continuity of supply, monitor quality and stock performance, and support continuous improvement across the supply chain. As the role involves managing fresh vegetables in their raw state, a strong understanding of vegetable farming and crop handling is essential.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

· Prepare weekly delivery schedules for suppliers covering beets and other vegetables, packaging, ingredients, and consumables, based on the production plan, stock levels, and factory requirements.

· Maintain and update delivery and inventory systems with daily production usage, yields, receipts, and stock movements, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.

· Monitor the quality of raw materials delivered to site and review stock held in longer-term cold storage on at least a bi-weekly basis to assess condition, identify risks, and help minimize future yield losses.

· Raise and manage purchase orders within the ERP system, confirm deliveries with suppliers, and ensure any schedule or quantity changes are communicated and recorded promptly.

· Collect, record, and analyse performance data to support weekly, monthly, and seasonal KPI reviews, highlighting issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement to the wider team.

· Support the preparation of monthly performance summaries against budget, including producing graphs, reports, and presentation materials for internal review and wider business updates.

· Support continuous improvement and project work across the supply chain function, including trial activity, supplier visits, and factory-based initiatives, and lead smaller projects where appropriate.

· Work closely with grower suppliers to plan harvest capacity and forecast crop availability, including on-farm visits during harvest to understand field conditions, quality, and supply risks.

· Benchmark and share relevant operational information across the G’s Group by gathering data from Love Beets and collaborating with colleagues across the wider beetroot business.

· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Planning teams on forecasting, new product development, and changes to existing products to ensure raw materials are available in line with business demand.

· Support the maintenance of supplier documentation, specifications, and approval packs to ensure compliance with SQF, customer specific requirements and company policies.

· Track supplier performance relating to quality, service, and on-time delivery, escalating any recurring issues and supporting corrective actions where needed.

· Monitor raw material stock levels and ageing profiles to support stock rotation, reduce waste, and maintain continuity of supply.

· Work closely with warehouse, intake, and quality teams to ensure raw materials are received, stored, and handled in line with specification, traceability, and food safety requirements.

Attributes

· Proven experience in supply chain coordination, raw materials planning, production planning, or manufacturing operations.

· Experience using ERP or MRP systems within a manufacturing, food production, or supply chain environment.

· Strong understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and forecasting principles.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.

· Microsoft Excel skills and confidence in producing reports, graphs, and KPI summaries.

· Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.

· Ability to prioritize effectively and respond to changing operational demands in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and with external suppliers.

· A practical understanding of fresh produce, crop handling, or agricultural supply chains.

· Flexibility – due to the nature of the role, must be able to cope with enforced changes that mean new plans have to be made and or adapted.

· Experience within food manufacturing, fresh produce, FMCG, or agricultural operations.

· Knowledge of supplier assurance, grower compliance, or raw material accreditation processes.

· Experience supporting audits, technical documentation, or compliance standards such as SQF.

· Experience working with growers or visiting farms during crop harvest periods.

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business or Agriculture

Pay: $67,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
