Coordinating and Guiding Hourly Team Members: Act as a point of contact and provide guidance to the raw material employees on their assigned tasks, ensuring they understand instructions and follow standard operating procedures including 6S compliance. Deliver tier meetings/huddles on a regular basis.
Ensuring Safety Compliance: Responsible for reinforcing safety rules, PPE adherence, and procedures within their assigned area to maintain a safe working environment.
Facilitating Workflow: Keep the production flow moving smoothly by monitoring progress, addressing minor issues as they arise, and ensuring materials and resources are available (including wood and poly trailers). This includes ensuring an effective shift handoff and staffing coordination as well as collaborating with other functional areas to ensure raw material needs are being met.
Maintaining Quality Standards: They often play a role in monitoring product quality and ensuring that team members are adhering to quality control procedures. Ensures all data entry and documentation is accurate.
Communication and Escalation: They serve as a communication link between the hourly team and the salaried supervisors, relaying information, providing updates on production status, and escalating any significant problems or concerns. Upward and downward communication is required.
Training and Support: Work with training team to deliver training to both new and existing employees. Ensure effective skill enhancement of the area employees.
Acting as a Backup: In the absence of a salaried supervisor or other employees (e.g., during breaks, meetings, or short absences), the hourly lead often steps in to provide immediate oversight or to complete the necessary tasks.

Education And Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be Material Handler or above

Familiarity with internal inventory and tracking systems
Certified on forklifts (up to G50)
