Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your primary focus will be on delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collecting data to track progress. Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles under the supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, focusing on skill development in communication, socialization, and adaptive behaviors.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence.
- Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress and inform ongoing treatment strategies.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and session logs, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions and support strategies.
- Support behavior management techniques aimed at reducing challenging behaviors while promoting positive behaviors in a safe environment.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is advantageous.
- Experience assisting with ADLs or providing patient care in a healthcare or educational setting is a plus.
