Biohub is the first large-scale initiative bringing frontier AI models, massive compute, and frontier experimental capabilities under one roof. The Biohub is a group of nonprofit research institutes that bring together scientists, engineers, and physicians with the goal of pursuing grand scientific challenges on 10- to 15-year time horizons. We are seeking an R&D Engineer to support the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of an advanced automated laboratory platform. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable execution of complex workflows through the integration of robotics, instrumentation, and control systems.
You will play a key role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that enables scalable and efficient experimental operations.
The Chicago, IL base pay range for a new hire in this role is $130,000 - $163,000. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
This position may be eligible to participate in our discretionary annual performance bonus program. Bonus eligibility and targets are determined in accordance with our total rewards philosophy and may vary by role.
As we grow, we're excited to strengthen in-person connections and cultivate a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role is a onsite position requiring you to be onsite for at least 100% of the working month, approximately 5 days a week.
