R&D Laboratory Coordinator (Seasonings & Flavors)
Location: Exton, PA
Department: Research & Development
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | Occasional Overtime
Reports To: VP of Research & Development

Position Summary
The R&D Laboratory Coordinator is an entry-level position that provides essential day-to-day support to our Research & Development team. This role helps keep the R&D lab organized and running smoothly by assisting with ingredient samples, labeling, inventory tracking, and general lab upkeep.
It is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, organized, and curious about food science or the seasoning and flavors industry. You’ll work closely with experienced product developers and technicians in a hands-on environment where training, learning, and teamwork are key.
What You Will Do
Assist with receiving, opening, and logging all incoming R&D packages, including raw materials, customer samples, and food bases.
Help label, organize, and store raw materials, customer samples, and finished product retains.
Learn to track lot numbers, monitor expiration dates, and maintain ingredient inventory.
Restock lab supplies, prepare simple sample packaging, and maintain organized digital files.
Wash, sanitize, and put away laboratory glassware and utensils.
Keep lab areas clean and safe in accordance with food safety and GMP standards.
Assist R&D technicians with basic labeling, measuring, or sample prep tasks under supervision.
What You will Bring
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow directions, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities.
Interest in food science, product development, or manufacturing.
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); willingness to learn new systems.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Experience working in a food production, lab, or warehouse environment is helpful but not required. Full training is provided!
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
No prior R&D or laboratory experience needed; training will be provided.
Prior exposure to food production, quality, or materials handling is a plus.
Food Safety & Quality Awareness
All employees are expected to follow company Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory policies as part of our commitment to safe and high-quality food ingredients.
You will learn to:
Follow GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, SSOP, Food Defense, and OSHA requirements.
Maintain accurate labeling and sample records to support traceability.
Assist during audits or recall events by locating samples or records when directed by leadership.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the workday.
Manual dexterity for handling small ingredients and lab utensils.
Ability to wear required PPE (lab coat, gloves, hairnet, safety glasses).
