Overview
Seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions (RDAEF2) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. This role requires proficiency in various dental technologies and procedures, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout treatments.
- Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix for patient documentation and medical records management.
- Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and assist with medical imaging as needed.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere and using appropriate dental terminology.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Stay current on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other relevant areas of dentistry.
Requirements
- Valid RDAEF2 certification and current licensure to practice in the state.
- Experience with Dentrix, is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Proficiency in chairside assisting, including the use of 3D scanners for imaging purposes.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable; experience in pediatrics is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while providing excellent patient care.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
