Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with advanced restorative procedures, including prosthodontics and endodontics, ensuring precise execution and patient comfort
• Operate and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix to accurately document medical and dental information
• Take and interpret X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency during procedures
• Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations
• Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy to prevent cross-contamination
• Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatric dental terminology and procedures

Qualifications

• Valid RDAEF2 license with current certification in dental assisting practices
• Extensive experience working in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or specialty practices such as prosthodontics or endodontics
• Proficiency with EMR systems including Dentrix, and Epic for dental documentation and records management
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to operate dental technology including X-ray machines, medical imaging devices, and 3D scanners
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical coding, and medical terminology for accurate documentation
• Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or chairside assistant supporting patient interactions

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
