We are a busy, fast-paced dental practice seeking a skilled and motivated RDAEF2 (Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions 2) to join our team. Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions 2 (RDAEF2), where your expertise will elevate patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will perform advanced dental procedures, support the delivery of comprehensive dental services, and ensure a smooth, efficient workflow within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Your skills in dental assisting, medical documentation, and infection control will directly contribute to exceptional patient experiences and optimal treatment outcomes. Duties
- Perform extended functions such as coronal polishing, placement of temporary crowns, and other procedures authorized by state law for RDAEF2 certification.
- Assist with complex restorative procedures including prosthodontics and endodontics, ensuring precise execution and patient comfort.
- Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Manage electronic medical records to document patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding accurately.
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure all clinical areas meet infection control standards to promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Valid RDAEF2 certification with current licensure in the State of CA.
- Proven experience under the title of RDAEF2.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to accurately assist with diverse cases.
- Skilled in operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and digital imaging systems like Epic.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient-facing roles; ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all clinical tasks.
Additional Details
- Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, and alternating Fridays
