Reading and Writing Teacher

READING TOWN IRVINE ROOSEVELT is hiring a Reading & Writing Tutor.

Teaching experience is required but teacher certification is not necessary.

All teaching materials are provided.

The tutor will work with students on a small group setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Ability to teach Reading and Writing for K-8 grade students
- Time management during class for 1:4 ratio teaching
- Work with students in a classroom setting

QUALIFICATIONS:

- More than 3 months of teaching experience required
- Strong teaching reference
- Major or minor in English Language Arts or a related field
- Maintains punctual and reliable attendance, adhering to assigned schedules
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Great ability to motivate and engage others
- Willingness to always lead by example

Period of Work:

- Starting in March 16 or 23, 2026
- Preferred if able to work during summer(Summer Camp class starts in morning)
- At least 1 year of employment maintain preferred

Weekly Schedule of Work:
- Monday - Friday, average 3 hours per day(between 2-7pm)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
