To liaise and coordinate between the education department and the schools on various external education initiatives.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with public schools and the representatives assigned to Emirates Literature Foundation special education projects throughout the year.
· Liaise with school representatives on all special education projects
· Attend Education events and offering front and back of house support as necessary
· Support the Education team and the wider organization in any foundation initiatives where needed.
· Reading for Pleasure Project with the Emirates School Establishment (ESE):
o Support the team in choosing suitable books/authors for each age group in both arabic and english
o Organize webinars for teachers and parents to promote reading for pleasure and encourage participation, and liaise internally with the relevant team members
o Communicate with the curriculum teams at all schools on the choice of books and topics and approvals
o Liaise with the training department team at all schools to arrange teacher webinars
o Prepare presentations when needed to present the project to relevant stakeholders
o Liaise with the authors and the production team regarding webinars and recordings – if applicable
o Work with the authors on the resource packs provided alongside the project – when applicable
o Liaise with pilot schools on the regular weekly, bi monthly and monthly visits to the schools and organize logistics
o Support the team with the physical visits to the schools
o Be prepared to participate in storytelling within the pilot schools and engage with the students
o Take responsibility for the reading for pleasure website and additional reading for pleasure conference website and liaise with relevant team members to ensure that this is up to date and accurately represents the work of the initiative and stakeholders.
o Focus on creating a fathers/male relatives group at each of the pilot schools within the initiative to encourage reading.
o Create surveys for feedback with teachers and parents to help fine-tune the initiative.
o Assist researchers where relevant.
