Reading/Math Tutor K-12

Schedule Requirements (Important – Please Read):

• Must be available to start at 4:00 PM on weekdays during the school year.
• Weekend availability preferred
• Summer Hours AM & PM

Huntington Learning Center is seeking reliable, engaging instructors to work with younger learners (early elementary–middle school) in a structured, supportive environment.

This role is ideal for educators who are patient, consistent, and skilled at building foundational academic skills, especially with students who may need additional support.
Experience working with diverse learners or a background in Special Education is highly preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver structured, pre-planned lessons (no lesson planning required)
• Support students in reading, writing, math, and phonics
• Provide consistent, positive engagement to keep students focused
• Track and maintain session notes
• Create an encouraging learning environment

Who This Is For:

• Educators who enjoy working with younger students
• Teachers who are patient and comfortable supporting struggling learners
• Candidates with Special Education experience or certification (strongly preferred)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Teaching Certification or Special Education background preferred
• Experience with elementary or middle school students
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Reliable and professional

Compensation:

$20–$25 per hour

• $20/hr starting rate
• $25/hr for Special Education certified instructors
