About the Role
First Choice Title and Settlement is a well-established title and settlement company serving the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Closing Processor to join our team and support our closers throughout the real estate transaction process. Responsibilities
- Assist the closing attorney/closer with data entry into title production and closing software
- Open new files and gather preliminary information from lenders, real estate agents, and clients
- Coordinate and schedule closings with all parties — buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders
- Order and track title searches, surveys, payoff statements, and lien releases
- Review and organize closing packages, ensuring all required documents are present and accurate
- Communicate proactively with lenders regarding loan conditions, closing instructions, and funding timelines
- Prepare and send closing disclosures, settlement statements, and pre-closing correspondence
- Maintain organized, up-to-date file documentation in both physical and digital formats
- Assist with post-closing tasks including document recording, title policy issuance, and file disbursement
- Provide general administrative support to the closing team as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience in title, real estate, mortgage, or a legal office strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with title production software a plus (SoftPro, RamQuest, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure
- Ability to manage multiple active files and competing priorities
- Professional, client-focused demeanor
