Real Estate Development Project Manager (Land and Construction)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and hands-on Real Estate Development Project Manager to support active development projects from early planning through construction and closeout.

This role combines project management, administrative leadership, and technical coordination. The ideal candidate understands land development, construction terminology, permitting workflows, topography, and the financial drivers of real estate projects.

You will work closely with contractors, engineers, architects, surveyors, and municipalities to ensure projects are organized, documented, and progressing on schedule and within budget.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Development Support

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for real estate development projects from concept through construction
  • Track project timelines, approvals, and deliverables across all development phases
  • Assist in analyzing development opportunities, including site feasibility and due diligence
  • Maintain project tracking systems and provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Communicate weekly project status, risks, and milestones to internal and external stakeholders

Construction & Technical Coordination

  • Develop, review, and finalize construction documents for entitlement, permitting, and construction
  • Coordinate design teams and drawings for procurement, including structural steel and key materials
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, permits, and construction documentation workflows
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts and project requirements
  • Interpret and organize site plans, zoning requirements, topography, and construction documents
  • Support leadership in identifying and mitigating project risks

Administrative & Documentation Management

  • Prepare and manage permit applications, filings, and development documentation
  • Maintain organized digital and physical project files and standardized file structures
  • Audit document management systems and support creation of SOPs and internal processes
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups related to development projects
  • Maintain accurate project logs, documentation, and labor tracking

Financial & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Track budgets, invoices, pay applications, and overall project expenditures
  • Assist in reviewing bids, proposals, and contractor estimates
  • Support financial tracking tied to development costs and project milestones
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, architects, and consultants on scope, schedule, and documentation
  • Support client communication, reporting, and site meetings with senior leadership

Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of experience in real estate development, construction, or land development
  • 2+ years of project management or project coordination experience
  • Strong understanding of construction terminology and development processes
  • Familiarity with site plans, zoning, permitting workflows, and topography
  • Working knowledge of real estate development economics, budgeting, and cost tracking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Procore, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with technical stakeholders
  • Highly resourceful, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

Pay: $58,576.84 - $90,000.00 per year
