We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our residential real estate team in Denver, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career and gain hands on experience in North Carolina real estate law. Candidate will work closely with attorneys and senior paralegals, assisting with all aspects of real estate transactions from intake to post-closing for purchase money, refinance, and cash transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and refinances.
- Draft, review, and organize a variety of legal documents, including deeds, affidavits, closing statements, and corporate resolutions.
- Conduct title searches and review title commitments to identify and assist in resolving any potential issues, such as liens or easements.
- Manage transaction timelines, track critical dates, and ensure all necessary actions are completed on schedule.
- Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and title companies to facilitate a smooth closing process.
- Order title insurance, surveys, and other necessary documents as part of the due diligence process.
- Prepare and manage closing packages and transaction files in both digital and physical formats.
- Assist with post-closing duties, such as recording documents with the register of deeds and distributing funds.
- Maintain client files and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a North Carolina State Bar-qualified paralegal studies program.
- Recent graduate with 0–5 years of experience; hands-on experience through a paralegal program or internship is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal or real estate software (e.g., SoftPro, Clio, etc.) preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
- Must be a legal resident of the United States.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday 8:30 – 5pm; Friday 8:30 – 3pm
