Real Estate Paralegal

We are an established law firm and title company seeking an experienced Real Estate Closing Paralegal to independently manage residential real estate closing files from intake through title policy issuance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle residential real estate transactions from contract to closing
• Communicate with buyers, sellers, lenders, realtors, mortgage brokers, and other parties throughout the transaction
• Prepare pre- and post-closing packages, including Closing Disclosures, ALTA Settlement Statements, and other closing documents
• Order and review title searches, municipal lien searches, surveys, mortgage payoffs, HOA/Condo estoppels, and other due diligence items
• Review title commitments and assist with title examinations
• Coordinate all aspects of the closing process to ensure timely and accurate file completion
• Issue title policies and complete post-closing requirements

In addition to residential closings, the successful candidate must be willing to learn and assist with other real estate and foreclosure-related matters handled by the firm, including creditor-side foreclosure work.

Qualifications:

• Prior residential real estate closing experience required
• Ability to independently manage files with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience reading and understanding title commitments and title-related documents
• Knowledge of ATIDS and DoubleTime is helpful but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
