Duties

• Safely operate rear load trucks, ensuring efficient collection of waste from designated routes
• Load and unload garbage containers using manual handling techniques and mechanical aids
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, checking for mechanical issues and safety compliance
• Assist with the maintenance of trucks, including basic troubleshooting of mechanical components
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during daily operations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups and route adjustments
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including loads collected and any incidents or delays

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving rear loader trucks or similar heavy vehicles
• Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers
• Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely, often requiring manual handling of waste containers
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred
• Experience with delivery or waste collection services is highly advantageous
• Strong commitment to safety standards and environmental regulations

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
