Position Overview
The Rebar Project Manager is responsible for overseeing rebar projects from contract award through fabrication and delivery. This role ensures jobs are executed on time, within budget, and according to specifications while coordinating between sales, detailing, production, and customers.
This position is critical to maintaining profitability, job flow efficiency, and strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage multiple rebar projects from kickoff through completion
- Review contracts, plans, specs, and scope to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and internal teams
- Coordinate schedules between detailing, fabrication, and delivery
Scheduling & Production Flow
- Work closely with production and scheduling teams to prioritize jobs
- Ensure material is fabricated and delivered according to project timelines
- Identify and resolve potential delays before they impact the job
Detailing & Submittals
- Oversee rebar detailing process (shop drawings, placing drawings, bar lists)
- Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Manage submittals, approvals, and revisions
Financial Performance
- Track job costs, margins, and change orders
- Identify and manage scope changes, extras, and back charges
- Protect profitability by catching errors, omissions, and inefficiencies early
Communication & Problem Solving
- Maintain clear communication with customers, field personnel, and internal teams
- Address jobsite issues, RFIs, and changes quickly and professionally
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction on every project
Qualifications
- Experience in rebar, construction materials, or structural concrete preferred
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specs, and project workflows
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
- Experience with rebar detailing software (ASA, aSa, ProRebar, or similar) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
