Receiving and Stock Supervisor

Job Overview

The Receiving / Stock Supervisor oversees the efficient flow of inventory across all back-of-house operations within a busy airport concessions and food service environment. This role is based in a secured airfield facility and requires an active TSA Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, as the supervisor regularly coordinates vendor access and escorts approved personnel onto the airport tarmac in strict accordance with TSA, DHS, and airport authority protocols.

The Supervisor ensures that all raw materials, food supplies, and beverages are properly received, stored, rotated, and tracked to minimize waste, prevent shortages, and support consistent restaurant performance. This role is the operational backbone of the supply chain, working closely with kitchen teams, vendors, and leadership to keep day-to-day inventory running smoothly and cost-effectively.

Duties

  • Track inventory usage, conduct counts, forecast supply needs, and minimize waste through proper monitoring and rotation (FIFO).
  • Receive, inspect, and store deliveries in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train and oversee staff on proper stock rotation, labeling, and storage procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors on ordering, deliveries, and issue resolution.
  • Escort approved vendor personnel/vehicles in secured airfield areas, verifying credentials and maintaining escort logs in compliance with TSA, DHS, and airport authority requirements.
  • Maintain compliance records for health inspections, audits, and safety protocols (PPE, labeling, equipment handling).
  • Train, schedule, and supervise stock and back-of-house staff, coordinating with kitchen leadership on inventory needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; associate degree or coursework in supply chain, business, or hospitality preferred.
  • 1–3 years' experience in inventory control, warehousing, or back-of-house restaurant operations; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Airport, airline catering, or security-regulated environment experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required (clean record preferred); must obtain/maintain TSA SIDA badge and pass all required TSA/DHS/airport authority background checks for airfield access.
  • Proficient with inventory management software, POS systems, and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 40–50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers.
  • Must be able to drive on airport property in compliance with airfield driving regulations.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
