Receiving Inspection Quality Engineer

Job Description

• Perform ballistic, material, chemical, calibration and environmental testing laboratory activities
• Perform source inspection and testing activities
• Conduct quality inspections on purchased components and record disposition decisions (Approve / Hold / Reject) into the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Prepare and report necessary data for the Supplier Performance Tracking system.
• Ensure the implementation of the VDMR process to manage nonconformities identified by suppliers during their in-process inspections.
• Ensure the execution of the Nonconforming Material Management process to purchased parts placed on hold or rejected as a result of Incoming Quality Control (IQC) activities.
• Possess fundamental knowledge of special processes such as coating, painting and heat treatment.
• Participate in studies related to metrology, dimensional measurement, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and analyses of measurement results.
• Support compliance of production and quality control activities with applicable technical specifications, military standards and civil/industrial standards.
• Fulfill the requirements of Quality Management System standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in related fields
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AQAP 2110, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System standards.
• Strong background in dimensional measurement systems, tolerance analysis and Measurement System Analysis
• Strong background in laboratory testing
• Knowledge of special processes such as heat treatment, coating, forging, casting and welding
• Fluency in English
• No restrictions for travel
