Receptionist at Jumping Jack Dog Ranch

Jumping Jack Dog Ranch is growing and we are looking for a Receptionist to join our 30+ person strong team! We are specifically looking for someone to join our evening and weekend teams. Hours for this position are from 1-8:30pm on weekdays and 8:30am-6:30pm on weekends.

We are seeking long-term employees looking for a career change, who have a lot of experience in customer service. Our ideal candidates are social, motivated, physically active, empathetic, and love both dogs and people!

We have an amazing team that we have been building since we opened in 2017. Our 11 acre ranch is designed to focus on outdoor play for dogs and boasts a custom pool. We strive to cross-train all employees in reception, kennel, and bathing within their first year of employment. This means that if you are applying to be a receptionist, you will train in the kennel and as a bather to better understand how the business operates and to get comfortable with dog behavior. This is a fast-paced and physical job - even working at the desk, you will be frequently greeting clients at the door and walking their dog back to a yard.

Responsibilities

• Navigate online scheduling system through a detail oriented lens
• Professionally communicate with clients via phone, email, and text message
• Prepare collars and tags for incoming dogs for increased safety during handling
• Communicate consistently and transparently with kennel, grooming, and management staff
• Accurately prepare and administer food and medication for dogs
• Contact veterinarian offices and clients for vaccination records
• Create a safe and comfortable environment for dogs in our care
• Maintain a clean and orderly front of house environment including dishes, laundry, and sanitation of common areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with dogs
• Experience providing excellent customer service in an office role
• Knowledge of Mac computers
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of Google Suites and Slack
• Ability to work evening shifts (1-8:30pm), weekends, and holidays (required)
• Ability to embrace our strict no-drama policy
• Ability to give and receive feedback throughout day-to-day activities
• Willingness to develop an understanding of the behavioral and emotional needs of dogs

Office shifts are from 6AM-2PM or 12-8PM on weekdays and 8:30AM-6:30PM on weekends.
