Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to customers, managing transactions accurately, and supporting overall store operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in retail environments, particularly grocery stores or similar settings. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, gain retail experience, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

Duties

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
• Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries or product needs
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and attention to detail
• Upsell products and promote store specials during customer interactions
• Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Assist with inventory management including stock replenishment and inventory counts
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
• Perform basic retail math for transactions, discounts, and promotions
• Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
• Supervise or assist in supervising staff during shifts as needed

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; grocery store experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a broader customer base
• Experience in upselling, merchandising, product demos, and stock management is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership roles within the team

Pay: Up to $2,000.00 per month
