Job Summary:
The Hospital Receptionist (OPD) serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The role involves patient registration, appointment scheduling, handling inquiries, maintaining medical records, processing billing information, and ensuring smooth front desk operations in the outpatient department. The receptionist must maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-centered approach at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and attendants in a courteous and professional manner.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the hospital management system.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage doctor appointments.
- Verify patient insurance details and guide patients regarding billing procedures.
- Collect consultation fees and issue receipts as per hospital policy.
- Maintain and organize patient records and OPD files.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Manage waiting lists and inform patients about delays.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with hospital policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Prepare daily OPD reports and submit them to management.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience as a receptionist, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
