Receptionist (Part-time)

The Villages of Farragut is an independent living community for seniors located in Farragut, Tennessee. We are seeking a part-time Receptionist for evenings and weekends to be the face of the community at the front desk. The receptionist skills and duties include the following:

• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Warmly greets and welcomes residents, visitors, business associates and vendors.
• Answer the phone in a friendly and professional manner and transfer calls to the appropriate department or take messages
• Light clerical duties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail, with ability to lift lightweight packages and deliver to resident rooms
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations that may occasionally arise
• Always maintain confidentiality
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly reception area
• Support scheduling for resident transportation arrangements
• Help residents with questions and concerns and communicate to management. Respond appropriately to resident calls and requests.
• Must have physical ability to climb stairs and walk long hallways to respond quickly to possible resident emergencies.

This position requires evening availability for shifts from 5:00-10:00 p.m., Saturdays and/or Sundays 4:00-10:00 p.m. and occasionally a weekday 8 am-5 pm. Some holidays may be required. As a part-time position, this could be an excellent fit for a retired professional or a college student. All caring hearts with a desire to serve seniors are encouraged to apply.
