Receptionist-Per Diem-Day Shift

Mystic Healthcare is a 100-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Mystic, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We are currently hiring a Receptionist. Come join our team!

Receptionist Job Summary:

The Receptionist is often the first person a patient, candidate or family member interacts with. Receptionists will kindly greet and direct visitors, answer any incoming calls, coordinate outgoing and incoming mail and maintain relevant records. This is a per diem day shift position which is ideal for anyone who is looking to work day shift when needed.

Receptionist Responsibilities:

• Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department. Forward calls into voicemail if necessary and take messages for employees when appropriate.
• Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
• Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone members of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
• Operate copiers, office machines, etc., as directed.
• Operate computer as directed.
• Order supplies as directed.

Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education.
• Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
